Lisa Tonokawa-Marcacci, M.S., B.A., CCC-A - is the Director
of the Cochlear Implant Program and has been with the California Ear Institute
since 1993. She is a pediatric and cochlear implant audiologist and has over
19 years of experience. Over the years Lisa has worked with over 350 cochlear
implant recipients and their families. Her credentials include a Masters Degree
in Audiology, a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Hearing, a California State
Audiology license and hearing Aid license, and a Certificate of Clinical Competence
in Audiology. She is also a member of the American Academy of Audiology.
Rebecca Highlander, M.A., CCC-A - provides audiological
services for our Cochlear Implant Program and also the Jean Weingarten Peninsula
Oral School for the Deaf She has 8 years of audiology experience with a specialty
in both pediatrics and cochlear implants. Becky was educated at the University
of California Santa Barbara and San Diego State University. Her credentials
include a Masters Degree in Audiology, California State Audiology and Hearing
Aid Dispensing licenses, as well as a Certificate of Clinical Competence in
Audiology. She is also a member of the American Academy of Audiology.
Melodie Griffanti, M.S.,CCC-A - has been at our San Ramon
facility for over 9 years providing hearing aid, cochlear implant and diagnostic
services. She has 18 years of audiology experience. Melodie was educated at
California State University at Sacramento. Her credentials include a Masters
Degree in Audiology, California State Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensing
licenses, and a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology. She is also
a member of the American Academy of Audiology.
Cache Pitt, M.S. CCC-A is a nationally certified audiologist
who received his Master’s Degree in Audiology at the University of Wyoming
and completed his fellowship in Audiology at the California Ear Institute
at Stanford. He has been working in the specialty of cochlear implants for
three years.
